No more droid :(

Exactly the reason I use a holster. I keep mine on a tight leash. You know these damn kids these days. So uncontrollable. Always wanting to jump out of your pocket, off of your lap or take random bumper rides.

So why the 7-10 day wait???

Well since it was a nice day out i figured id put the top down on the jeep. I placed my droid on my bumper and forgot it. By the time i realized 20 min later i went back to find my droid in pieces on the highway. Battery door and battery are still mia. But got the screen and pieces of the body. SD card was still in but wouldn't read.

So i already went to best buy and i get my new phone in 7-10 days. So now im stuck with my old samsung flipshot from like 3-4 years ago since i smashed my lg dare when i got my droid. i hated that phone so much

i miss my droid already :greendroid:

ouch, got a jeep myself. The phone is either in my hand, in my pocket, or in a dock. It almost never gets set down anywhere:)

A week? That sucks. Good news is when you get it you will be one week closer to 2.2!

I have a velcro patch on the horn of my jeep. Phone goes right there everytime (so I can see it ring since in a doorless jeep, I can't hear or feel it ring)

It does not go anywhere

hahaha jeep lovers

the jeep isnt mine, its my dads. I have swapped honda thats under the knife currently, ill have that back in like 5 days faster then ever and hopefully ill get my droid back around then, same day for both would be awesome.

and i did have a case on it.......the front piece i never found and the back was next to the phone surprisingly in one piece, just scraped up. I gave it to them when they took my phone.

I'm going crazy, i keep wanting to go and check my mail, or i get bored and i wanna play a game or surf the web.

You know... Your story reminds me of the scene from National Lampoon's Vacation with Chevy Chase... Where Chevy ties the dog to the bumper of his station wagon, trying to load it up and wanting to get going that he forgets to load up the dog... The next scene they are wondering what is that dragging sound... And having the cop pull them over and finally realizing Clark ended up dragging that poor dog til the chain snapped...

thats a pretty terrible reminder lol

though tragic as it is, i am glad my phone broke and i didn't kill/lose my dog. He cost more and doesn't have a warranty if i break him

that sucks lol and X2 on the LG Dare..I think someone stole mines but I dont care as the touch screen didnt work anymore(think it had a pressure point from me sitting on it on accident and since its pressure sensitive I couldnt press anywhere on the screen) I thought that phone was the best thing to come out of verizon...two years later I can say it wasnt all that bad but its nothing compared to this droid....

Oh. How sad. A flying Droid. But what a way to go. Free, hair flying in the wind. I also have a jeep. 1980 Cj7. Lost one the same way a few phones ago. Hit the road and got ran over. Smashed all to heck.

Good luck with your withdraws.

My LG Dare did me good, don't know what that's about. I mean I couldn't go back to it now but I wouldn't smash it for no reason like that. The picture quality was outstanding compared to the Droid, I'd pay $100 right now to be able to switch out the sensor in the Droid for the Dare. I sold my Dare to get the Droid for free so I liked it even more at that point...lol.

I agree about the camera. For everything else it was like trying to pick a coin up off the ground with no fingernails. Impossible. I started the phone up to play with it just for fun about a month ago, and after getting used to the responsiveness of the droid's screen, I could barely even access the menu system. You really need to train yourself to learn how to use a resistive screen. But I will say that the camera was great (while it worked, mine doesn't anymore) and the battery life was amazing (I once got more than 4 days out of it).
