no more room on home screen

It's just the calendar widget that came with the phone. It has fit there before without problems. I simply wanted to move it from one screen to another, and now it won't fit anywhere. I have 3/4 of one page totally empty. Shouldn't it fit there? Some widgets take up 2 slots without a problem but the calendar widget will not. (It only took up one slot when it fit there before.)

"no more room ...." beautiful widgets

I purchased beautiful widgets, but can't download them because my droid says "no more room on the homepage." I only have 4 icons on the home page. What should I do? Should I remove the wallpaper? How can I remove the wallpaper without deleting the photo from the gallery? Help !!!!
