Rooting:
yes it is possible but I myself have not rooted yet. From what I understand there is no backup plan if you brick the phone HOWEVER there is one on the way rumored to be out in the next week. when I tried using z4 it didnt work for me. i think it led to the soft bricking on my phone. as much as i would like to reap the benefits of being rooted, id wait til the sfb is released

Myths/Facts:

-I heard that the processor is indeed the same as the D2 but it comes overclocked from the factory.
-This phone is awesome!
-You own the fastest droid (stock) in existence (thus far)

I suggest playing with it stock. Not saying no to root. but if you do root keep it vanilla for awhile to make sure your device has no defects and so you can determine what you need to customize your device to better suit you.

Yea I just found out about the emulators about an hour ago I almost crapped my pants.
I thought it was bull until I played a game in there.

As for rooting im definitely gunna wait.
I haven't found anything my done cannot do yet.
