Not feeling the bolt anymore.

I second that one. My thunderbolt is amazing. Especially now that it's holding steady overclocked to 1536.0MHz.

People are so fast to throw the word "troll" out.... I have a very busy life and I can't be on the forums 24/7. Regarding the Thunderbolt, its a heavy phone. I find my hand hurting after a couple of minutes of using it. The data connection is super buggy... 3/4 of the time it drops the connection including on wifi. Most apps force close a lot. The camera is below expectations.. The camera on the fascinate is WAY better. The call quality is sub par, signal strength is a joke.. I live in a very strong, 3g/4g area and only get one or two bars. Where as with my x, I would get all 4 bars and a solid connection. The speaker is not loud at all. The volume rocker is way to big. I find my self pressing it on accident all the time!!!!!!!!! Battery life is a joke also, 3 whole hours! Ect........ Regarding Android, apps are horrible and full of ads. I like ios better. I miss my iPhone 4 and the app store.....

1. This phone is heavier than other phones, but that's because it has a bigger screen.

2. Signal bars are NOT... I repeat NOT a real indicator of signal strength. Go to the -dBm rating in the network options and there is a real indicator of strength. I get anywhere from 10-20dBm better with this phone than I do with the Droid 1. Yeah, the Thunderbolt shows 1-2 bars less than my Droid 1 did, but even when my Droid 1 had 0 reception and couldn't make calls it would be display full bars like an idiot (Motorola <cough>).

3. 3 hours isn't bad for a 4G device with a huge screen. My Droid 1 would go to 50% after spending 2 hours talking to my gf on ebuddy on the way home from work.

4. Camera is below expectations? I don't know about you but every device I've seen, this camera is actually INSTANT and fast.

5. Yeah, volume is low. HTC has been made aware of this and promises an update to fix this.

Seriously though dude, get an iPhone. I'll admit, and I'm a Google fanboi and Android lover --- I've been tempted by the iPhone 4. Give it a try, you can always return it if you don't like it in 15 days (paying a $30? something re-stocking fee). iPhone has better hardware, a better camera, and the apps are a bit more refined (but hit your wallet harder). Just less customization.

If you did not enjoy the phone I don't understand why you did not return it within two weeks. But if you don't like the phone that's ok, simply get an iphone again.... Just run over to the store and pick one up, you could have it within an hour or so. There is no reason to be miserable and drag it out.

Sounds like you have an uncommonly bad T-Bolt, mine is great! But if I didn't like it I would simply get what I did. I pay full price for my phones so I don't have to mess around. I can pick one up whenever I want.

Again, this is very simple to resolve, just run over and pick up the phone you like!

I love these threads. It's like a +1 post count for everyone.

That being said...

Thunderbolt is win. If you have bad signal strength, you're holding it wrong. BUT HTC will give you a free case for your troubles. Oh wait... Wrong company.

LOLOL that sent my lunch onto my keyboard ... damnit.

Dont mess with the bull if you dont want the horns. No but seriously either you had a pos tb or there is a large amt of human error here. There is always going to be kinks in new technology but considering myself and many other having none of these issues raises questions.

So, you've gone from a Droid X to an iPhone4 to Thunderbolt? If I'm not mistaken, that would probably be 3 phones in under a year or so(given the time frame that these phones were released).

Sounds to me like you're just never happy if you're switching phones this often. If you didn't like the ads in the apps(which you could get rid of, if you're rooted), then why come back Android after having an iPhone 4?
