I thought of that as well and when you told me to check the auto sync, I checked it and then I went back and looked at it about 5 minutes later and it was unchecked. So I don't know why it was doing that. But the power widget got it working haha

Interesting! Not that it matters but I wonder what is different from checking the auto sync in settings?

The difference is that with PowerControl>Sync off, you do not get the option in the Accounts section to check "sync".

I am still amazed that this "feature", which appears to be new to the Droid 2, has not been fixed and that Verizon Tech Support doesn't seem to understand this and typically advises people to do a factory reset instead.

I was having this issue on my original DROID and couldn't figure it out. Using the power widget worked for me!
