Note 8 battery

Hello All,

just got a note 8 gifted but quite upset on the battery. 730 AM its unplugged at 100% and 125 PM its 69% with hardly 3 calls / few whatapps chatting / few likes on fb.

did anyone face this issue. any remedies?

how new? could have been updating so the power will level itself out. might want to check the settings and see what was using your battery.

yesterday i unplugged approx 930 AM 100% and 1 hour video chatting 20 minutes of google maps facebooking whatsapping and at 7 PM battery 5%

By gifted, do you mean used? If so, did you factory reset the device before setting it up?

looked at your attachments and nothing stands out. video chatting will take a lot of juice from the battery. even though it is a new phone, after all the updates, and app installations you could have some apps on the phone could be accessing some older files. one thing you can try deleting the cache partition. see the following

Wipe cache partition: Samsung Galaxy Note8

on my phone after 12 hours it is usually around 65-70 percent. but I mainly use it to read the news and emails. I never let it get below 50 percent. so I really do not know how long my phone will last on a charge.

Hi Dan, did the wipe out and battery 5% lasted 1 hour idle. will be trying to do the second options.
today it was worse

will update

looking at your screen shot, it looks like you have both sims active. if that is the case, it will drain your battery faster. that could be the problem.

one other thing I noticed, you may want to adjust your screen lighting to conserve power.
