OFFICIAL Droid X Issues/Problem Thread

I have zero reception on this joke of a phone. I can't believe I'm saying I want my Storm 1 back. My house has bad reception to begin with (I live 15 miles out of NYC go figure), but my storm 1 and even my fathers 5+ year old razor work like a charm compared to this overpriced brick. What gives?

I called Verizon they tried every work around they could think of, and nothing. I had to drive 5 miles away just to get any reception whatsoever. Do I escalate it now to the point to ask them to check the antennas in the area?

I have the same problem, every other person in my house gets service except me and my Droid X. I also drive around surrounding neighborhoods and continue to get no service, which was never an issue with previous phones. :icon_ nono2:

I just noticed another bug. I downloaded and installed a couple of apps from the Marketplace, and when I open my app drawer they're at the bottom of the list instead of having them listed in alphabetical order.

Hmmm...

Mine sometimes does that and sometimes sorts them and puts them where they belong.

anyone having severe market lag issues?? I have 3 bars in 3G and my market keeps hanging up and pausing downloads... hopefully it will be better at home on Wi-fi.........

The fix for this i believe is coming in the update. "streamlines organization of newly downloaded applications is in the "fix"...

As far as the reception goes, maybe we'll get lucky and get a new baseband too... my 3G was 100 times faster on my Droid1

YEP... baseband upgrade as well

I just had a weird thing happen- Turned my phone off then back on and everything had a negative effect. Turned it off and on. Fixed the issue.

Only problem I've had is the phone shuts off automatically sometimes, even with full battery. It's happened three times since I bought it on release date (7/15).

Other than that, it's been great.

In addition to my screen flickering issue, I have also had this issue. When I go to turn the phone on from sleep, it is already turned off lol. I ordered a replacement today, and now am patiently waiting.

I don't like how mine says " Verizon Wireless!" every time i make a call.

I hear you I had that same problem, drove me crazy. I went to Verizon and they fixed it for me.

Droid X wifi issue?

Anyone have issues staying connected to wifi? I just switched from a Droid and I have 5 other smart phones in my home that connect to wifi all of the time. The Droid X will connect fine but will then stop sending and receiving data....It still THINKS it has a connection but it doesn't. "forgetting" the wifi settings and reconnecting are the only things that seem to work.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Mine has done that once, last night. I was downloading a small mp3 to use as a ringtone and when the connection dropped it ended up locking the phone up. At reboot it would try to continue the download, but wifi was hosed. I couldn't turn off wifi, then the phone would lock up again. I pulled the battery and let it completely reset. After 3 or 4 attempts I was able to get it booted up and get into wifi settings to turn it off. It ran normal on 3G, then this evening I enabled wifi again and it started locking up again. I hope this gets fixed by a software update.

I live in Yonkers...I always have 3 or 4 bars until I attempt to call and then all bars disappear. Scary that I kind of want my Storm 1 back because of this problem!!!
