That's what everyone else is saying. They say my bills number sounds end in k, but it doesn't & my security patch date is October 1.

On a side note, I love the new permissions setup when a Dev does it the right way.

Ambient display, I like it, but I kinda almost wish I could set it to only come on when I pick the device up, instead of flashing on with every notification.

I like motos ambient display better. It didn't light the whole screen but I guess amoled has to.

One of the selling features of AMOLED is that it can light individual pixels instead of having to backlight the whole thing with LCD. I haven't been anywhere dark enough to notice how much it lights up, but I would think it's just the white words/etc, isn't it?

It probably is by device ID. Who knows when I'll get updates. Maybe shouldn't have bought directly from Huawei. Haha

EDIT: I just went into the bathroom in the pitch dark & checked. Mine definitely only lights the white parts of the screen.

Just tested it. I only see the notification. I thought the whole screen popped.

The 5x should light the whole screen, because I believe it's an LCD panel, which negates the usefulness of ambient display imo.

Doh. That was my whole point. Thx guys. I think I figured it out but no nfc. Does nfc eat up battery maybe I'll just have it on then all the time.

According to the app info page on the play store, you can get an nfc toggle if you're rooted.
