Not true. Moto builds them, sends them to VZW to certify, and.....VZW rejects them. So Moto does another build, same process. Over and over again. If Moto had their way, they'd just release the darn thing instead of this 3 week nonsense that VZW insists on. Didn't seem to help the RAZR people except to delay a shoddy build for 3 weeks. Ours has been delayed even longer because apparently VZW hasn't been satisfied with any of the builds so far. I'm hearing that 242 is Moto's attempt to satisfy all their requirements. We shall see.

I just chatted with a rep from motorola who says the Offical ICS update will be released in september ....when in sept. is anyones guess... my guess is sept.31.

Did that rep happen to say sept. of this year? He could be right and we'll see it in sept, 2013 or 2014, maybe 2015... that is if we're lucky.

You forgot a step in the Moto/VZW release cycle, the part where it gets "leaked" and then Moto/VZW watches the forums for comments and issues. Hopefully nobody is naive enough to think these leaks are accidental...

I'm glad VZW is picky, would you have wanted the early leaked versions to become OTAs?

Then my original point is valid. It is not VZ's fault that they are late. It is Moto's fault because the previous builds won't get past quality control. We are saying the same thing I think, just coming to a different conclusion on where to lay the blame.

I think you'd reach my conclusion if you understood WHY VZW failed to certify the builds. 232 was darn near flawless. However, because you could FXZ back to 905 from it, and that reset their root checker, they demanded a new build. 235 had a bug in the email client. 238 had a bug in the smart actions. NONE of the builds worked well for Adobe...and that includes razr and d4 builds. VZW demanded they fix that, as well. So yes, Moto had bugs. You could see it as VZW being our white knight saving us from the horrible bugs. I don't have the same opinion.

I just got a response from Moto's official facebook regarding the ICS update. They said it is due to receive it in q3, so by the end of this month. Here is a screenshot:
