Hi guys! Going from my Bionic to the S4! Ready for upgrade mid-May, can't wait! Will be a bit sad to say bye to the Bionic, especially given the improvements I see with JB! But, time to try something newer!

Just got out of the at&t store and demo the s4 for a bit. Why Verizon didn't push to get this device sooner puzzles me.

They had the s3 right next to it and I could feel a huge difference between the two. The s4 felt better in the hand (even with the tie downs) and it felt lighter as well, maybe due to form factor? The screen is beautiful; everything was so crisp and the colors really did pop. 4k YouTube demo looked amazing. I didn't get a chance to demo some of the features but the eye tracking was pretty slick.

I think my decision was cemented today unless another phone coming to Verizon blows my mind.

Now just gotta wait til my upgrade in July... My nexus lagged on me, i think it knows...

Any disadvantage to pre-ordering from Wirefly? I'm early upgrade eligible as of today (last one ). Both Verizon and Wirefly are recognizing my eligibility just fine. Wirefly has it for $179.99, clearly a much better price. Anyone have experience with them?

You should have no problem. I've had friends order from wirefly and get a good deal also ..

The biggest issue with buying from a retailer is that you have to deal with warranty issues through the retailer, Verizon cannot help you.

Yeah, in the end, I just went with a Verizon pre-order. Had it been Amazon or something, I may have been more apt to go that route. It's not that I don't trust Wirefly, but having never dealt with them before, and not knowing when they'd actually get the phones in stock, I just forked over the extra $20 (well, $70 until I get the rebate) and called it good with Verizon.

Hi everyone, first post here.. making the switch from Sprint (blaghhh) to Verizon and getting the S4, I have a question about the preorder/rebate and what Verizon does typically...

Right now the phone (as we all know) is 250 minus the 50 rebate.

Since Verizon "doesnt do rebates" I asked a sale person ad he said the rebates are only because they cant do automatic rebates on the preorder,

Sooo,
Do you think the price in store May 30th will be 199? or 250 without a rebate? Or 250 with a rebate as is now?

Trying to decide if I should just wait and walk in the store that day, or pre order and wait forever to get the rebate... DONT want topay 250 though!

Think best buy does automatic rebates so it will be $199 there.

But how sure are we that the rebate will still be there after the presale? Thats my biggest worry, i dont have any real experience with verizon's past practices...

Do they typically hang around, or equally lower the phone price?
