Hi, Im new to this forum and I'm excited to be on here. I love my moto droid since the first I purchased it. When I found out it can be rooted and custom ROMs can be installed I fell in love all over again. Im currently on cyanogen and I thought it couldnt get any better but then I saw miui rom and I couldnt believe how great this ROM really is. I saw the download link for flashing this ROM in the beginning of this chat thread but I dont want to read every single reply through all 26 pages to look for all the repair links ( call me lazy). Can someone help me and give me the links to download to make this ROM run smoothly? I understand there are some bugs related to this ROM but I can live those. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

I'd say wipe and install this rom and out of the box it will run great with the exception of the bugs on the first page of this post...any updates that fix those bugs will usually be put into the first post if available so check there first...also Jrizzills modded version adds a few lil boosts but if your not interested in the extra themeing elements and such the biggest thing you can do is open terminal editor (found on market if you don't have it) and type in

su
echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 > /data/local.prop

that will fix the redraw issue (not native to this rom this is accross every rom out there including stock google)

Thx for the help. Are there any kernals I should flash that work best with this rom to improve battery life?

I think a good portion of us are on Slayhers 1.6 kernels...old versions of ChevyNo1's work as well...I thinks P3Droids too. I haven't tried any others as Slayher's has been pretty danged good for me.

that is the latest release i jsut realized we were in the 4.xx thread

and as for your question...I wish I could answer but i went to a new kernel right away for the faster clock speed so i'm not really sure

Per this site "VERSION 1.6 adds Compcache. Also new wifi module, and has ipv6 fix, and TUN." I guess its just Compcache the difference. I doubt this rom supports Compcache :icon_eek:

Oh dur forgot the whole reason i loved the kernel most...my wifi signal in my room sucked before i installed it..whatever was done to that module gives me a full bar where i used to be lucky to get service at all

dumb question; can this be flashed on the Eris? I love my small Eris and would love to have this rom on it. is it possible or is there something similar?

The ROM has nothing to do with compcache, only the kernel is responsible for that.

I run compcache with MIUI. Just flash the kernel and then the compcache fix and type "su", then "compcache start" in terminal emulator or "adb shell compcache start" in ADB.

The ROM has nothing to do with compcache, only the kernel is responsible for that.
