every time i turn off my dx now when i turn back on it goes into clockwork recovery. any suggestions what to do. if i reboot from there it will turn

some people are grumbling about needing the D2 bootstrapper, I've seen it linked from the OP (maybe not this forum, I'm on too many) and it will dl as a .txt just rename the extension and you're good to go. Then go and donate to the dev if you use it, $2 really isn't much

no i have the d2 bootstrap, but every time power down and power up, you are in clockwork recovery and have to reboot system and then it works fine.

I'm still having the contacts issue. Doesn't matter who I press on, it just flashes back to the home screen

No I was not referring to the bright bottom buttons. I meant the notification LED. Mine does not work and the bottom buttons sometimes come on, sometimes don't. Anybody have a fix yet?

Okay little problem, I am in RSD Lite, I get all the way to "Loading RAM Downloader for Bootloader" and it stalls everytime at 97% can't seem to get anything to work now :/

Gingerbread For Droid X Leak With Root: Download

Instructions for DROIDX:

*WARNING* – You will lose everything on your phone by following the process. This wipes it all people.
*WARNING 2* – This is NOT for the DROID 2. Those instructions can be found here.
*Note* - If you didn’t jump the gun and flash the non-rooted version and are still running something like say, Liberty ROM, all you have to do is flash the .zip file below just as you would any other ROM.

Instructions If You Have the leak without root:
1. Download the file from above and drop it on your SD card.
2. Download the 2.3.340 SBF file for the DX. LINK REMOVED.
3. Download, install and open RSD lite 4.8. [Here]
4. Plug your phone into your Windows PC and turn your phone off.
5. Boot into the bootloader by holding Volume Up + Camera + Power.
6. Your computer will likely install new drivers at this point.
7. Once RSD lite recognizes your phone, hit the “…” box and choose the 2.3.340 SBF file.
8. Click “Start.”
9. When it finishes and gets to 100%, power your phone off.
10. Boot into recovery by holding Home + Power.
11. When the triangle appears, hit the Search button.
12. Navigate down to wipe data/factory reset, select it with camera, say “yes.”
13. When it finishes, reboot your phone.
14. Download z4root 1.3.0 and root your phone.
15. Download DX Bootstrap and bootstrap your recovery.
16. Reboot into recovery.
17. Choose “install zip from sd card”, “choose”, then the dxgbrooted.zip.
18. Your phone will now install Gingerbread with root.
19. When you reboot, your phone will appear to bootloop. Let it.
20. If it does it for say, 5 minutes, just pull your battery and reboot.
21. To Boostrap after installing Gingerbread, you’ll need to use the D2 Bootstrapper.
22. Enjoy!

Instructions If You Didnt Install First Leak:
1. Download file
2. Use Bootstrap to get your phone into recovery.
3. Create a backup
4. wipe data
1. select install zip from sdcard
2. choose zip from sdcard
3. navigate to teamblackhat folder
4. select the file you downloaded
5. Restart phone

I have the rooted GB installed and seemingly running ok, with a series exception.
I have tried running bootstrapper (both Droid X and Droid 2), both installed, and when I push the button I get the "Success", however nothing happens when I push reboot. I had the same problem when I pushed the reboot button after installing the fix.apk for the market issue JRummy released.
When I installed GB I wiped data and cache...... But since the reboot button doesn't work, I cannot access the boot recovery.
Any help would be appreciated.

1834 quadrant, quickclock at 1323, my contacts didn't work until I rebooted a couple times. Button leds don't work at all, and launcher pro 3d app drawer doesn't work. Not deal breaker, just an annoyance, overall is pretty good.
