I have the moto Droid. Maybe it wasn't on the phone but im sure it was. I looked in my downloads and it wasn't there. It was a T icon and took you to the twitter mobile site. It was not a shortcut either. I know the difference. What is another good twitter app that allows you to log in and out?

that's really weird, is your droid new? because were almost positive that a twitter client want pre installed on our devices. did you try looking in the market to see if you recognize any familiar icons?

this is what im thinking... maybe it was a refurb that was not completely restored back to OEM.

I'd suggest going to the Market, searching for Twitter, and finding the app that has the icon you had. Probably the easiest way to get it back.

Phone is not a refurb. I bought it on launch day. I have looked in the market and its not there. There are no good twitter clients in the market. I have tried all of them. Even twidroid sucks. Anyway I just went to the mobile site and made a bookmark on my screen All good. And, yes like I posted before I looked in the downloads and it wasn't there. I am guessing it was an app that I got from the market when I got the phone and since then maybe it has been removed. No big deal. I was just looking for a good twitter app.

Sometimesz they delete apps. My first droid I had two apps that weren't in market after I got my replacement. Sucks cause they were sweet apps...espn nfl and espn nba

I have found that if you uninstall an app from the phone's menu instead of uninstalling it from within the Market app, it removes it from your Market downloads list.

After I uninstall an app (from Market) it no longer remains listed on my download list. This is how I want it
