OK, so I really think i meesed up

And you installed the correct drivers? What happens when you turn it on holding d pad up? Does your computer show something or make a noise?

Which one? the 32- or 64-bit? I have Windows Vista.

And I don't understand the whole pushing up on the d pad while turning on deal. If I am holding it in landscape. Am I holding up as it's facing or up towards the lock key?

and the computer does nothing

Oh, sounds like you haven't gotten it even to the correct mode. I am not sure what version of vista you have. Go into your control panel and look at system...itll tell you if its 64 bit. If it doesnt say 64, its 32.

The D pad is if you slide the keyboard out and look at it landscape mode, itll be the closest to the screen. Not towards the lock key.

Ok.Erron you have a much better grasp of rsd than me so I'm gonna bow out,but I will keep an eye on this thread. Hope you guys get this fixed!! Good luck

here: USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola USA
download either the 32bit or 64 bit driver depending what OS you are running

OR pull your sdcard out of the droid and put in a Card reader

ok, I did your plan and it looks between v2.0.1 and v2.1.

Can I go back to v2.0.1 from here

so you were able to load Koush's Cyanogen ROM and every thing is fine?
if so congrats you are now running the BEST rom available to DROID... no reason to revert back to 2.01 ROMS.
