Old D1-MIUI-0.12.24.0

Everything is back and settled out. I don't see any issues and no random reboots yet. All settings restored from TiBa and made fresh backups. Running very smooth right now!

Booch, if you have a few minutes would you please document the steps you took with TiBa (create a backup, data, apps, etc and what you restored and when) I think that would be very helpful for other members.

What an awesome Christmas present...Can't wait to see what the new year will bring. The look, feel and workability of this ROM is amazing!

Anyone else heard of or had an issue with trying to restore apps from either Titanium Backup and/or Miui backup? I've done a clean install of this new rom and it comes up fine. When I try to restore apps from either TiBu or Miui it starts the restore process and then reboots. This install was after wiping 3 times before installing. I don't sign in to Google on the first boot as I prefer to restore my apps from TiBu. I've tried restoring one app at a time and also tried multiple apps with same result, reboots.

Tried for 10 minutes. Thought it would be promising however I flashed a different kernel and get reboots trying to install any app from sd card. Quickly ditched. Also the miui gallery is horrible. 3d gallery is way better than iphone style.

First off GREAT WORK, loving this rom. Having a major issue with the screen. It seems to be registering input even when I don't touch the phone. For instance when I boot up it will unlock the phone automatically even if I haven't touched it. Also when I want to add widgets the phone becomes unresponsive then switches from screen to screen. I was running 12.11 with no issues what-so-ever.

I did a full wipe before switching over. Ive also cleaned the screen, and pulled the battery.

Thanks in advance

That happened to me when I installed a theme once. My phone was just laying there and it lit up and the slider slid up and it unlocked. It was weird.

After a bit of tweaking...reboots...fixing permissions...etc., this feels like it is starting to settle in now. It shouldn't surprise me that things work better with use. Almost like the system learns as it goes. The more use, the happier things get.

I'm sure there are some niggles yet, but I'm liking this a whole bunch more....:)

Now that I am home and on a computer, this will be easier. Understand that I do 3 backups before making changes, a MIUI System backup of all settings, a Titanium Backup of the apps and data and a Nandroid backup of the entire phone.

Before installing the updated ROM, I went into Titanium Backup and simply hit the Menu button and selected Batch, in order to get to the preset batch entries.

Once into the Batch processing screen, I select (RUN) Backup all user apps + system data.

I leave all entries selected (checked) and hit the Run the batch operation button.

What I did now, was to go into ClockworkMod Recovery and did a Nandroid backup. I wiped the cache partition then wiped the data/factory settings. I know, probably overkill, but can't hurt and takes little time. I then went in and selected the ZIP to install from the SDCard and let it install. I cleared the cache once again, for good measure, then allowed the phone to reboot.

On reboot, the phone is clean and fresh. I entered the data required for "registering" the phone for me. Once that was done, the phone began the process of downloading everything again. I went in and manually stopped each app individually, except for the root apps that I would need, as well as Titanium Backup and the key. This is going to take some time, especially if you have a lot of apps, like me. I then went into Titanium Backup the same as above and this time selected Restore missing apps + all system data.

I left selections as shown in the capture. Once this was completed, I then did a MIUI System restore, selecting all of the options. Once this was done, I still wanted to go and make sure custom ringtones and notifications remained, and all mail and app settings are still there. I haven't had enough of an opportunity to play around with this ROM yet, and I may do some things that are unnecessary, but the above has worked for me so far. Good luck!

I just booted up, went to market, my apps were their and installing but the phone keeps restarting and none of them are installing about to go back to 12.11
