Just started using MIUI with the last release. Love it so far. But have a few questions about upgrading.

1. I really don't want to redo all the folders I just spent an hour making. How do I keep the layout I have?

2. Do I need to wipe if upgrading from the last version?

Is the Gmail notification light supposed to be fixed also? I was able to get SMS working (only after setting the "trackball" color in MMS Settings) but I can't get the LED working for e-mail notifications.

Not sure if you wipe or not, but if you dont have to you wont lose anything.

Dont know about keeping the layout but i didnt wipe and no bugs so far .. just make a backup before u flash ..

what I do is nandroid, then restore DATA only. thats it. just data, no cache. see if that works for you.

I should've looked around more. I wasn't anticipating additional settings categories. That should fix it now that I've switched it from white. Thanks!

hahaha, I definitely do but that's mostly because in development I make roms that dont boot, so it's like a ray of light when that thing vibrates.

Themes should all work. I've tested 5 and all worked. Mods will not work if they are replacing the framework. Which most are.

I forgot to wipe when I installed the first time and I have never seen so many different force closes haha
