Does the forever root still hold after this, or must it be done again? And, can anyone verify that KIN3TX can be successfully reinstalled over .901? I thought .901 ruined third-party ROMs?

I did not go to the .901 accidental leak so can't tell you about the KIN3TX over .901...however I can tell you that the ForeverRoot is intact after getting back to stock 5.5.893 OTA

Try using DHacker's ReleasedRoot method, #2 manually...

okay, I re-opened the app again and re did everything and I am on 8.9 now. What happened was it started back up to .886 and when it was doing the root it failed so I re did everything again and everything went down smoothly I dont know why it failed the first time

Boot Loop

My one-click install was going great with no errors, after root completed successfully my phone rebooted and I was expecting recovery mode but I am stuck in a boot loop. Never had one before so I am worried. Any ideas what caused this and what I need to do now? I was running 5.7.893 unrooted/rommed if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Everything went smoothly. However when I booted up after installing 901 all my apps and desktop layout were the same as they were before I started this process. (When I was on 5.7.893) Odd I thought everything would be gone. Also I lost root. Anyone with any ideas. Oh ps I checked about ohone and I am currently on the .901 system.

well since 713King had to do the 1-click process twice to get it to take, maybe you should start from the beginning once again as well...you can still boot into fastboot mode correct?

Not sure why everyone wants to jump on the .901 accidental leak, may not even be a finalized OTA, and what if it takes you off the OTA path once again as well, only this time with no way to return??...just sayin'

I think that p3droids one click should work to get you back to 5.5.893 ? I assume you just have to run throught it again and not take the 5.9.901.

For one it works and two multiple including myself were told to install it by VZW. If they told us to install it they are liable and have to maintain our devices.

hahaha... much like everyone stated about the initial 5.6.893 and 5.7.893 'official' leaks huh??...lol... did it really make that much difference for you?

I have the .901 OTA on ice right now but haven't really seen any real need for it...camera works pretty good and batt life is already great on .893...lmao
