ota about to download

If I don't have 4G in my area would it be worth updating it manually? How would I do this??

Yeah...you got the same OTA update everyone else got over the past couple weeks.

The PRI has to do with your local tower search algorythyms and can be updated manually #*EDIT: dont try to update manually...as other poster commented, 4 g pushes the PRI updates:END EDIT*# by dialing some combo of numbers...I can't recall what they are. Some people are anal about updating the PRIs weekly. Others, like me, update once in a while when I run across a thread reminding me to do it. Supposedly if it is updated it will locate cell tower signals quicker. I have never noticed a difference. Don't get hung up on trying to match someone in another area...it'll drive you nuts.

Like has been said, there is no reason to dial *228 in the Tbolt, the PRL's will update automatically.

If you do dial *228 it will not burn out your sim card, the call will just not connect

I am not running 4g much because of the battery drain. Should I be in the 228 update on 3g?

I did have one odd power down/reboot last night. I went to look at something on my phone and it was just dead......
