About an hour ago I finally noticed my Verizon tab in the market was gone too. I just checked my Droid, and voila, the verizon tab is back. For awhile it was replaced by a download tab. I didn't do anything special like restart the phone.:motdroidhoriz:
Well the theory about the downloads tab appearing when you have a download didn't pan out...... I still have my verizon tab and there are two updates available for me.
I have to hit the menu to access the downloads like I always have.
I have been watching with interest all the postings about the update. Has anyone seen anything about fixing the WiFi capability? I have so far been unable to fix my pesky intermittent WiFi connection problem.

I've seen comments going both ways. IIRC wifi was not an issue that was on the list of items improved.
I've been through a lot of updates, specially with Blackberry. People sometimes see a lot more into an update then what actually occurs. I'd take any comments outside of the list of known fixes with a grain of salt.
I'll also point out before someone else does that the home screen change was not on that list either. So you can make your own decisions after you upgrade.

My droid gets a wifi signal better than my laptop!
If this wifi signal normally stable for other connections?
Or does the droid have problems with all wifi connections?
How do you know your router is not set wrong?
You may have it set so the CTS "clear to send" level is too high... that means if the signal drops below that threshold, it stops sending and the connection is dropped, then when it comes back up, it has to negotiate again...... you want it set as low as you can.... but troubleshooting your router can be a whole thread.
Thats why Im wondering if youve been having problems with your droid even with other connections?
If you dont already have them, download "speedtest" and "wifinder".. that may give you some help to see how strong your signal is.
My router works fine for my Macintosh and my son-in-law's iPhone. Also works fine for my Windows laptop. The router broadcasts the SSID. the signal strength is 3-4 bars. Droid says we have a connection. Then it fails.
We're probably getting off-topic here, but I really would like some help.
