overheat

ok so i got the Motorola Car Mount and Rapid Car Charger and if its on it for 15-20 min the phone gets really hot and if its on there for an hour or so it will go into cool down mode it gets so hot (i just noticed it doing this tod) so i wont b leaving it on there anymore for that long but has anyone else had this prob.? im also running the extended life battery as well

I had a similar issue. I was on a 3 hour drive the other day and left the phone running with GPS in the background so I could knab some geocaches along the way. It got extremely hot. So hot I couldn't leave it in my lap any longer. I had it leaning against a spot on my dashboard where the back was flush with the plexiglass behind it. I assumed it wasn't able to ventilate enough, but thought it might also be running the screen for a solid hour. Maybe it's an actual issue though.
