P3 Says Won't Be Releasing Soon

I can't claim this as my own theory, as it is a product of discussions with another member... but it just seems odd that P3 has all this "inside info" but how closely it supports the kind if info that VZW wants us to have (i.e. nexus won't be everything you want it to be or even that VZW won't get it, buy the bionic; rush out and buy a new phone or you will lose your unlimited data plans; get rid of the tethering app your you will get caught; it goes on and on). It's almost like a "you leak what we want you to leak, and nothing else, and we will make sure to keep leaking you stuff and getting you page hits" type deal. Or maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist.

i see what you mean truss. i remember that whole team black hat releasing a tethering app for the thunderbolt and then suddenly he became all "inspired" to let us all know how tethering was going to be all big brother. It felt like a conspiracy theory... sounded crazy, not sure how other read it but that's how i took it. i just want to know what his job actually is. he hasnt be working for any company(VZ nor samsung) since i know they are under NDAs. So he cant be in the loop unless both Samsung and vz ignore the obvious breach with which i am almost positive he has his name on twitter so its kinda hard to not know who he is if your protecting your company. So that means he is out of the loop somewhere yonder but close enough to test out the nexus or he is under Sammy or VZ which would mean he is under an NDA which he either blatantly ignores or someones controlling some "leaks." Just saying. I was giving some credit to the validity of his statement because other people chimed in saying the same thing but in truth i don't know who they are either. He could be trolling like Koush always does. Taking a step back and looking at facts im with Truss on this. I trully hope VZ releases this phone soon though, im looking at my D1 evilly when its a good phone.....just need my nexus.

I heard the samething from a verizon rep today about the nexus..

me: so will you be having display models of the nexus friday(me trying to be slick)?
them: we would have, its been pushed back...again.
me: really, whats going on?
them:I dont know, im really wanting this phone as well.

Why is this a surprise? This was confirmed last week on Fox News when Nick DiCarlo, VP of Product Planning for Samsung, indicated it was being released "later this year" NOT later this November as he displayed the Nexus. True, i would appreciate it sooner rather than later, but it was reported last week and picked up by numerous websites.

Either way, I resigned myself to a release date of between 11/17 and the end of December.

all these people with supposed inside sources. i have the real deal. my inside source just told me this morning that the nexus would not be released before nov 14th. hes the only one that has been right without 20 wrongs so far
someone will witness a car accident this week. just remember if you see it i told you so. if you dont its becaue you made a wrong turn that my crystal ball didnt think you's make, it just trusted you too much.
the 3rd,7th,11th.17th.21st, black friday,dec 1-2-3. and when it finnally drops someone will come out and say see i told ya. just disregard the previous 9 wrongs and youll have a new trusted source.

WTF?!?! Just left a dead Vzw corporate store & asked a few of the employees (standing around doing nothing) about the Nexus...
They. Knew. NOTHING.
Btw, not a fan of the Razr or the Rezound. I want some pure vanilla Nexus!

I'll believe it when I see it. But my OG droid can't take much more of this. Its to the point where I would rather use my work blackberry to make phone calls because at least when it rings I can answer it and end the call.

My OG is hanging in there just fine. I'm figuring on waiting until after the holidays to check out the Nexus anyway...give them a few weeks to shake out some of the bugs. I don't want to pay three hundred clams to be a beta-tester anyway

This just sounds like BS. How is the rest of the world on track for this launch? Samsung says no delays. Google running a Galaxy Nexus giveaway contest. International sellers are taking pre-orders. That only leaves Verizon mucking this up, IMHO.

I think this is BS...G-Nex is confirmed to be the first device to have ICS...if this is true, which we have confirmation from google it is...than we will have to see G-Nex before ICS is released on anything else

Is anyone who's waiting on the nexus going to give up and buy the razr or rezound? I'm half tempted to just so I have a new phone but I will probably regret it for the next two years. Its a shame the nexus is the only one with everything. Both the razr and rezound are strong in some areas but lacking in others. Verizon needs to get their act together.

I'm thinking that if the GN release date isn't announced by the end of the week, I'm going to get the Rezound. I may be way off, but if it isn't announced by then, it could realistically be the end of December before VZW customers see this phone. Given the adjusted return policy, I'll be able to dump my struggling OG Droid for a Rezound, then dump the Rezound for the GN.

I win, I win, VZW loses.
