my RSS feed is starting to fill with Nexus related stories and links about info, videos, commercials... this is a good thing.

It's only 1/2 a mm thicker than the UK version, I can live with that.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE Revealed to be 9.47mm Thick on Updated Google Landing Page, Verizon In-Store Poster
Maybe this is what Verizon was waiting on...for the LTE version to be finalized? Kind of odd though since someone got a screenshot of ~120K being ordered...

Would be cool. Im a fan of that, but idk if its a reliable source. It looks like they are also frustrated with changing release dates.

Yeah, we've had "confirmed" dates from VZW "insiders" since the announcement. I'm not holding my breath anymore, passed out three times this week...

Love this! (camera super fast!)

Have not had an opportunity to try but this video ! indicates that due to the speed pictures are blurry. Start at 3:00 I believe the female voice says "one out of five are really good shots" If true, not a good percentage, IMO

I'm not too worried about the images being blurry, I can't think of any point where I take 5+ pictures one after another. The reason she probably had blurry pictures is because she isn't holding the phone steady, she was trying to check out the quick shutter speed. Hold the phone normally without trying to take 5 pictures in 2 seconds and I imagine you'll end up with clear pictures.

The benefit of zero shutter speed is so you get a picture of what you want instantly, not to take 5 pictures in 2 seconds.

Best response yet with all this cam bickering I see.. Its a smartphone that happens to have a kick ass camera.. Photograph should be left to the big boys.. Cannon rebel HD is my flavor.

When cannon make cams for smart phone then you will know which phone to buy if you so need to take professfional looking photos from your phone.

this sounds reasonable. but .. since all these new phones are costing 100 less on other carriers are you sure verizon isnt pocketing that extra 100.
and since refurbs are usually sold about 100 bucks less than a new phone if they get phones returned for another phone they would than lose that 100. so releasing all 3 phones at once having people go through all 3 before deciding could indeed be costing them money.
sound reasonable or no?

That probably is true but in the grand scheme of the business its a very small drop in the bucket. The bread butter is getting people signed up on contracts and keeping customers. Right now a large number of customers are finishing up their contract and Verizon needs to make it attractive to stay. I also don't personally know anyone who has taken a large bunch of phones on test drives. Everyone I know buys a phone and sticks with it.

so what your saying is shes holding the phone wrong?

No, I think it wasn't focused before the shutter was snapped. I saw a video a few days ago showing somebody focusing on different parts of the screen, to show the depth of field. You touch the part of the screen where you want it to focus. The auto-focus on this phone is not as fast as the shutter snap, but it's still very fast.

The zero shutter lag means just that, zero shutter lag. It's not referring to the auto-focus, as that still takes a second or two. If you snap the shutter before it has had the chance to auto focus, then it will be blurry, no matter how fast the shutter is.

that is why I prefer my DSLR with AV/AF lenses. They remove my errors. And that is why they cost a ton more than a smartphone.
