Pandora and Slacker Widgets

I was recently browsing the "Post your screens" thread and came across several users with Pandora and Slacker widgets that are very different from mine. My Pandora and Slacker widgets are really just banners, they have no functionality other than to launch Pandora and Slacker. Since they do nothing, i just use the regular icons. I love my Last.FM widget since it is functional.

Where are these people getting these Pandora and Slacker widgets that are similar to my Last.FM widget?

Me theory is that these are on 1.5 or 1.6 only. Please tell me this isn't true.

WOW! No kidding...Why on earth don't they just start out with the functional controls?
