Iam guessin its a no go on the z10 lol..ive been searchin for a new device on swappa since this contract ends this nov.need my 4gb..this og razr ain't doin well anymore unless i would have to update to jb.but that's out of the question,since i dont have a laptop to revert bck to 211 iam basically screwed Lol
Jaye, because you have tiered data, you can get a subsidized phone and it won't change your data plan. My two sons have the 4gb data plans and I've updated on each of their lines and the data remains the same at the same price. (It's how I got my note 2...by putting it on their line first, then moved to my unlimited line).

Sorry mama..can u explain some more,iam still new to this era.needin all the info i need.i can honestly say that my razr aint doin well anymore.i know i can buy it off swappa etc n my data will b the same but that means i won't b able to upgrade to a new device(example: gal4) n renew my contract w/out losin the 4gb,am i right?unless i speak upon loyal customer for yrs on out lol #verizon
Okay here goes. Hope it makes sense. Just ask if not. Because your data plan is a 4GBP data plan, it is already a tiered plan so if you wanted to buy the new Galaxy4 (or the Maxx HD or the Note 2 or any phone) from Verizon at their special price, you would still keep your 4gb data plan. The only time you're forced to choose a new tiered or shared data plan is if you activate a phone at the special price on a phone line that has unlimited data.

So Renewing my contract doin this wont effect losin my 4gb? or just buyin the phone @ a "special price" wont effect it?sorry tis,bare w/ me lol..i got no lines w/ unlimited & no shared data..thanks for the quick response tho Tis.much needed info

If you are limited on a 4g plan, then you are already tiered data (your only choices for new activations are tiered or shared). Because you are already tiered, then your data will remain the same.If you buy a phone at the discounted price from Verizon (or best buy, Costco, Amazon, etc) and activate it on your 4gb line, then it will renew your contract for two years with the same data plan (unless you want to change it to a different data plan).
So, renewing your contract won't change your tiered (or shared) data plan. Buying a phone at the special price won't change it. The only thing that would change it is if you wanted to change it to a different tiered or shared data plan
My two sons got the double the data deal (4gb for the price of 2gb) and their data is the same after activating my Razr M on one of the lines and activating my new Note 2 on the other. So activating discounted phones on the double the data tiered lines won't change those either.
