Oh it was, my wife and my buddy's wife each don't drink beer, so we may have had a double amount of tasting (drinking). Good time. We did go out afterwards for Margaritas for the ladies, and may have had another beer as well.

Yes, I saw them in the 80's, they were raging, I'll verify with the wife if she wants to see them this year, the Venus isn't that great though, open air amphitheatre, not my favorite.
