PDANet Issues

I downloaded PDANet software on the Droid and my laptop. Both my laptop and Droid went blank and would not start back up. I had to resolve the issue by removing the batteries in the laptop and also my Droid and putting them back in to get them both to start back up. I have not tried to tether since. I have the 2.2 version on the Droid now. Any thoughts on why this happened? Should I just retry and hope for the best?

Looks like you didn't get any help with your problem. I'm not qualified to offer any solutions, sorry. But: I haven't upgraded to 2.2. yet and I'm using PDANet now.
Did you get PDANet to work on 2.2? If so, what did you have to do?
