Percent Battery Icon

Probably a stupid question but I was wondering what would happen if I tried to install one of the .zip files for a circle or percent battery icon from on of my other droid devices (like my desire) ?

I think the Batteryminder widget with the Percent battery icon is draining power.

How are you guys getting battery percent?

Also is it possible to get the battery to display by ones instead of 10's?

I tried this the other night for my Droid 2, and broke it - had to restore via Clockwork. I think the only way to get a circle or percent battery icon is to use one of the custom ROMs, like Squidly or Fission.
