phone keeps saying verizzon wireless

I updated to 4.0 now my phone keeps saying verizon wireless ever few miles going down the road.Any way to make it shut up? I keep thing Im getting a call but not.

Check your Sound Settings. They have a option under Sounds for Network Status and Roaming Status. See if the Boxes are checked next to these and uncheck them. This should keep the phone from saying Verizon Wireless everytime it acquires the Network while driving. Hope this helps.
