Phone My PC Question

I am attempting to install phone my pc but before i purchase it i was wondering, do I need my laptop to be connected to the internet when i want to access it through my droid?
My computer is connected to the internet but my college requires me to enter a username and password before i am able to access the internet. Will having the application installed on my comp allow me to access it anytime on the go?

I believe it needs to be connected to wifi

Your computer must be able to communicate with PhoneMyPC's servers. It doesn't need to be WiFi, but your laptop does need to be connected to the internet.

Yes - like the others have said. Need to have an 'always on' connection for any computer you want to connect to remotely anytime you want
