Wireless Tethering for Root not working

I rooted my phone a while back (running stock FRF84B) and last night I installed Wireless Tethering for Root Users. When i set it up and turn it on, my laptop can connect to the phone quickly but can't seem to access the internet. the network shows up as a P2P when detected by the laptop. are there further steps i need to take before the tethering is fully functional? I searched but i didnt find any answers. Thanks!

I have a similar problem... I have the SuperUser app, and the wireless tether for android app runs just fine, and I can connect. But it won't go through to the internet.... Perhaps a botched root?

I use the app all the time and it works fine. You can try changing the channel it broadcasts on. I recommend Channel 1,2, and 6 for good results. Also make sure you don't change any of the settings you don't know about.
