Thanks yo, downloaded the suggested app, and now have to wait for phone to go back to sleep and friend will text me to see if it worked!!Take a look at this.

Tap Settings.
Tap General.
Tap Accessibility.
Scroll down to the Hearing section and tap LED Flash for Alerts.
Move the LED Flash for Alerts slider to on/green.

Yes, Flash LED is already turned on, but did not make the phone wake up for a text....
