Pictures appearing in websites

On the Droid, does anyone know why when I go on some websites that I can only see words and no or some of the pictures? This is not just on one website. It happens on different ones. Today I was looking for clip art on the web. When clicking on the sites.I could not see any of the pictures of the clip art
