HELP !! i got my droid two days ago and the first day it turned off by itself then it turned on and it worked fine now today I'm in the car and it starts acting funny so i turned it off and when i turn it back on it goes to my home screen and turns back off and turns on by itself about three times and wont turn on no more i take out the battery and SD card and the same thing happens and when its working fine it says that the SD card may have encounter same errors or its damaged .. I'm going crazy i try doing everything and still nothing ... any suggestions? and other thing my phone is on loud when some one calls or texts my phone only vibrates
please someone HELP!!!

this is the second night in a row I have lost my data connection and ability to send and recieve text messages. Is there something going on with verizon or do have some strange virus on my phone?
Screen Filter interferes with installs
Hi.
I have a DroidX, Android 2.3.3 stock. I was having a problem where any third party application not downloaded/installed through the Market would have problems. It would download via Amazon Appstore (or I could download the .apk manually) just fine. But on the installation part, where it shows the permissions and you have the Install and Cancel buttons, the Install button would not press. Only the Cancel button was active.
Turns out there is a conflict with Screen Filter. Disabling Screen Filter allows me to install just like normal.
As a side note, I have now added a Tasker event to shut down Screen Filter when running Appstore and to restart it on finish...

Work Around for lack of HTML email on Bionic:
I, and many others, have had a problem with non-gmail email that is formatted with HTML appearing as an attachment. Apparently, the Bionic does not support HTML email. You can't view the attachment unless you save it, leave email, open Quick Office, open browse, open internal storage, open messaging, and then open the saved file. Whew, that's a lot of work!
Fix: Have Gmail fetch your email from other accounts. You need to open gmail from a computer, go to Settings > Accounts and Import, select Check Mail Using POP 3: > Add a POP3 Account You Own. Follow the instructions for your email account. Your email will now show in your gmail account on your phone and computer with the html visible.
Hope that helps! I am posting in Bionic threads as well since this seems to be a Bionic specific problem.

you should have the repeated text and repeated tweets on here as known issues... 
supposedly the only fix is to take the phone in and have them flash it. OR they send you a new phone. I'm waiting for my new phone... STILL..

I am fairly new to the rooting thing, and I was trying out some customization methods I had read about online, unfortunately I couldn't locate any means to make a backup of my ROM or OS etc and I installed a custom theme from metamorph. It froze up when I did that, after rebooting it freezes up at the Samsung Transform Ultra screen. It's not entirely bricked as I can charge the battery with it off and also turn it on pressing Vol. Down and Power Button, I tried factory wipe/reset and rebooted but that did not fix the problem. I am trying to find the tools to undo what I did but I don't see much of anything out there for this phone.
I really don't want to have to send this thing back to Samsung, wondering if anyone here might have some suggestions on what I can try to do, or if they might have a stock ROM for the phone and tell me how I could go about flashing it to the phone. Appreciate any feedback.

An issue I have encountered is the rapid flashing on/off of the screen during a call.
Basically, what happens is when making a call I press the home button to prevent an accidental hang up however let's say I need to respond/send a text message so I want to place the call on speaker in order to continue the conversation and text. But when you pull away the phone from your face you notice that the screen flickers/turns on/off/flashes etc or the screen stays off "black".
Couple of solutions:
1) go to settings and make the screen sleep more than fifteen seconds.
2) go to settings and accessibility and choose power button ends call.
3)press the volume keys in an attempt to wake up the phone. It doesn't always work.
This is an issue across all of android roms, stock, rooted etc.
If anyone else has more solutions or more input by all means add.

Solutions:
Turn on the data.
Clear cache/data from the app.
Reboot phone.
If you have data saver mode on turn on wifi.

Similar screen issue
When I press the Menu button to get phone out of idle mode, the slide/ unlock bar is not there. Is this the same problem you're having? If so, have you found a fix?

keyboard issues
Hey I was wondering if I could get some help. The same keyboard is great but when it saves my frequently used words at the top of the keyboard 2 or 3 days later the memory is deleted and I cant just click the common words that I type. I really don't want to get another keyboard. Help.

I am having serious problems with my motorola droid 3. It suddenly went to a white screen with red and blue flecks . It wont do anything even power off I have to pull the battery. This is my second phone to do the same thing. I was told it is a software issue, but I know nothing about fixing software on a cell phone. So as of right now I have two useless phones :-(. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Try a factory reset , and have a go.. may help

I can delete any other apps, But this one is not under apps.
