Pokemon ROM Battles - Gameboy ROM connectivity

I am wondering... I know you can use GBA Roms on droids pretty flawlessly, but I want to know (before trying) if you can link with other phones. I have no idea how this would work honestly, but could you, say, battle on Pokemon? Could you battle on Advance Wars?

If not, I feel this is less worth it. If so however, why is the world not jumping on this? Is there a way to make it work?

No, the ability is not there to link between phones.

No, but i wonder if they cud do it sum how in the future tru bluetooth maybe?
