Wow princess be safe out there. The the family and make sure to get to a high place if somethin happens.

Also thoughts and prayers go out to the injured and the ones who had their life taken during the earthquake. If anyone in America has family visting Japan I hope all is well and hope you can stay in contact and bring them back safe.

Also to anyone in Japan reading this or anyone with someone in Japan reading this, I hope you can make it back to the US safe and I hope Japan will be able to recover from the devistation on and earthquake and a tsunami. thoughts and prayers go out to y'all. Be safe during the recovery and remember if you smell gas then likely its a busted gas line and please stay back from gas leaks and be safe.

wasn't able to get good pictures but no major damages. mostly to boat harbors and debris near shore lines. it was early morning hours

Hawaii normally gets huge swells like 20-40' waves during winter. this was a mere 4-6' ! that's it and it had enough power to have some damage. but no that's not my house or boat. island maui got hit worse with dozens of boats damaged

I would like to be in the curl of the 40+ foot wave and take a pic of the curl. Just the winter ocean currents kicking up waves or i wonder if it winter storms? Im glad the waves were only 1/10 the size of winter waves. I bet the boats that were damaged were boats that the owners were caught off guard cause idk if thats something you can get prepared for in a hurry with dozens of boats around yours

I think the most damage was in crescent city. Thats pretty far north from me. I'm pretty sure at least one person was killed when they got swept out. Really hope it wasnt someone who decided to go out to the beach and watch but i have a feeling it was.

isn't that retarded!? if u hear tsunami warnings, if u see tsunami coming, u do not stand at attention and think all is fine and nothing will happen. omg its not" look mom no hands" type of deal. even here we saw on video cams that idiots we're wandering the hotel beaches and on the rock walls. so crazy

I know. Like I was saying on android.net, we had a tsunami warning out here a few years back and on my way home from work I saw about a hundred people standing out on the beach in Newport. There was a retention wall built out of sand and people were standing on the water side.

Lol, i wouldnt be standing at the water side. Id be at my house battening down the hatches. This whole earthquake thing is crazy though. An 8.9, thats huge! Way more powerful than the earthquake a couple years ago.

Exactly. Iirc it was the seventh strongest quake on record.
