PowerAmp, the New King of Music Players

I purchased the full version and I am so glad that I did! It is well worth the money IMO. The 10 Band EQ alone is just awesome compare to stock...I didn't like Winamp for that splash screen for one and I used the stock player before PowerAmp. The quality of the graphics and options for customization AND the lockscreen Widget is the cherry on top! I think the time & effort the developer put into the app sets a precedent for future apps. Great job!

went back and toyed with WinAmp again (still use PowerAMP as my main player) and I've decided that, even though I think $4.99 is a bit much for the app, I'm gonna purchase the full PowerAMP when my trial runs out.

I gave it a try the otherday...but not sure it gels well with my D1 using Chevy's 4.91ROM and overclocking to 1ghz. While using it with the EQ active it really ramped up my CPU temp and made my phone get laggy. I didn't check my system resources to see how big it runs. Anyone have these issues?

Thanks yes thats a good idea I was looking at the ones while in line at the grocery store, and thought that may work?
I appreciate it.

It's a good app, especially tag editor, the equalizer and the many file types it plays, but until they improve the navigation or make it more intuitive, I'll stick to Music Player Pro.

Tried it for a few days but will stick with Mixzing. The sound quality is both better and louder with Mixzing and the interface is more user friendly. Poweramp does a better job of finding the right, or close to the right, album art than Mixzing, but that's its only advantage - for me.

I bought it within the first hour of trying it. I personally HATE having more than one app to do a function, however this was a must have for me. I have some albums that are multiple artists and I much rather go by folder than the artist tags, so this works out well. Also, the EQ is truly a great tool. I thought it would be dumb at first but playing music in the car, I can tweak it to sound amazing.. And I love to listen to music in bed but my GF hates it, so the EQ lets me make it really quiet and just up the tones I need to hear.

He has a lot planned like a 'sleep timer' to fade out, even user saved EQ settings, and much much more. It is well worth the few bucks. If you complain about having to pay like 5 bucks for an app, try to code it yourself and give it away for a dollar. I bet you wouldn't! Feed the developers!!!!!!!!

This is a great app. It actually plays flac files and without crashing the entire system. I just might actually buy this app. I have to complete my full testing but this looks encouraging so far.

Anything over $2.99 is too much for a music app. Period. MixZing's pricing is crazy. I love the EQ on poweramp, but five bucks is just too much for a phone app.
