Nah, never was a fan of the back engraving ... the greeting screen can be undone whereas engraving cannot in the event I sell it or give it to a family member when the next bigger and better phone comes along LOL

That is a nice looking phone. When I was looking & debating between the X and the Turbo I was pretty set on leather if I bought the X. The football leather option from last year was cool too, I saw one in a Verizon store & it felt nice to hold.
I got the same thing from motorola.com when I clicked on Moto X Pure, but I got in when I went to Motomaker.com
Even though I still have to wait on financing...
Wow! Guess they changed it from the past Xs ... used to have an option to delete it when doing a factory reset.

I'm pretty sure that a FDR clears the welcome message. Well...at least on the original Moto X. Maybe they mean..."yours forever" because you can't change it yourself. But I think a FDR wipes it clean?
That could make sense. They have to know people turn around and sell these things.
Seeing the Ebony in the same shot as the Ash, I really think I like the Ebony better. It's still very dark, but has a touch of color to it...
