What phone rumors of smartphones will become reality by this time next year? What is likely to be out at that time? My phone upgrade is at that time.

Faster processors & a 6 cpu chip. More memory, better battery, and a screen to die for!
Cell phones are not "cell" phones a.y longer, but Personal data, entertainment portable devices.
As such they will evolve like the PC did.

Interesting. Without me coming across as sarcastic, are phones going to be more: powerful, reliable, better update procedures, better than ever battery life, etc.? Although I like the TB for the most part, I want something better next, better "experience" as well as more powerful CPU, better battery life, improved screen tech, etc.

They will always get better. I just hope HTC starts putting kick stands on all of their phones.

Yeah, kickstand is good piece of hardware.

New phones in the near future ought to get even better regarding software, hardware, and OS. Better all over IMO. I can't wait to upgrade to the next new dual (or more) core and better screen, going for ics too.

Still, for now, thunderbolt is fine.

Just heard a report on TV about a patent filing by Apple for Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology they are apparently exploring to include in future phone and pad devices. The patent claims power for "weeks" without recharge! :icon_eek: Geez, it's exciting, but I really hope it comes to Android phones either before or at least within the same timeframe as Apple. I am so sick of Apple getting all the attention.

This all sounds like some good stuff to look forward to seeing. I'll be looking at the new phones in the fall and winter 2012, it'll be upgrade time for me by then.
