So now WTF?

The iphone is a solid phone but for me the screen is too small and I hate itunes and the walled garden. If you rooted your phone months ago and it's been working perfectly then great. 99% of people who buy cell phones don't even know what rooting means. Regular consumers shouldn't need to tinker with their phone to make it function properly. HTC and Verizon have dropped the ball big time with this phone. Oh and still no word from HTC on any updates to their various software failures. You would think at the very least that they would have a fix for Sense by now since it is a security concern and it affects several phones not just the TB.

The 99% part sounds a bit exaggerating; I'm positive there's more than 1% that know about rooting. Other than that I totally agree with you. I don't get it, backyard junkies (Not trying to offend/insult anyone) have the ability to make my phone work flawlessly. Yet, "Big Red" and HTC can't get there **** straight. Makes no sense whatsoever! My idea/opinion for all the problems were facing would be for Verizon/HTC to actually let us root our phones without voiding the warranty. Agree? Disagree? What do you guys think?

It doesn't void your warranty anyway. Because if you ever needed to take your phone back to Verizon you simply return the software to stock. There is no way to know it was ever rooted.

Sorry your phone is so bad. I must have a good one cause I have none of your issues.

In fact I have a friend who had the iPhone that was having a serious common problem and she returned it and got the thunderbolt and is very happy she did. Her opinion is that the thunderbolt is much better.

Every phone out there will have some that have problems. Go to every forum in here and you will see.

But everyone should be happy and if you want the iPhone for some reason then you should get it.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your new phone. I intend to get the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out in a couple weeks!

If your Thunderbolt is so great why are you getting a new phone? My new iPhone 4s was shipped yesterday. Plus I'm getting $130 for the trade in.

What did you pay for the 4s?
If you dont mind me asking that is.

$299 for the 32gb. Verizon has a trade in program. Not sure if I can post a link here but it's easy to find. Every month the appraised value they give you drops so if you're going to do it, do it soon. Once you agree to do it, they mail you something to send the phone back. It must be wiped clean and you can't get it back no matter what. You have 30 days to get it back to them. Then a couple weeks later you get a gift card. I'm sure the actual credit they give you may vary depending on condition of the phone.

I like to buy the new phones as they come out. I've had the D1, D2, DX, Thunderbolt, and always wanted a Nexus!

Enjoy your iPhone while you have it but you'll be back.
