Problem with software update

Everytime I go to update the software, the phone goes to reset and just freezes, the screen shows a picture of the phone with a 3D caution sign, I have to reset the phone or pull the battery to get it back on. Any ideas?

Which update? Which software do you currently have? There have been no recent updates pushed to the phone. It sounds like the phone is trying to start an update. Try pushing the volume up button and the camera button at the same time and see if it takes you to the recovery screen.
