This is an app which plays fricken' PSX games... how have you all become so jaded?

Im not sure the word jaded is what you were looking for, but either way; its not like theres 35,000 people posting on this thread.. its like 20. Its not hard to believe 20 people really want a program to come out. hell, im surprised there isn't a bigger following.

Ok so it technically could be called vaporware...

Vaporware is a word used to describe products, usually computer hardware or software, that were not released on the date announced by their developer, or that were announced months or years before their release. Application of the word usually implies a negative opinion of a product, and uncertainty that it will eventually be released. It will be released eventually do you not know how hard programing can be? let alone something as complicated as an emulator if you dont belive it will be released then please just stop posting in this thread your causeing problems and are borderline trolling if i must say.

i am ready to purchase, but i would rather it be fully stable. as soon as it hits the market i will buy.

Heres the problem. Everyone and their dog say that want something to be launched thats stable. Whats the point? After every update every app breaks pretty much just release the damn thing and patch it. People will buy it just for the freaking name if anything!

I have zero sympathy for how hard it is to code this program because the devs are the ones who've kept saying it'll be out in "a week or two!" for the past 4 months. Quit telling everyone to calm down when we all know that when you dangle the carrot eventually someone is going to bite. I want a REAL expectation of when I can see this on the market. I am tired of seeing "We'll be submitting to the app store this week!" then 2 days later seeing a post stating "Working out the bugs on certain phones maybe a week or 2 and we'll see it! :icon_ banana:"

Truthfully it's infuriating regardless how any of you try to justify it.

My feelings exactly. It does nobody any good to say you'll release a product when you have no chance of doing so. It's bad enough android has so few quality games on the market. The Apple App Store has so much to offer and they get everything first. This emulator is already out for that platform...

I've not heard of a single android developer releasing a product when they say they will. Just do everyone a favor and shut up until its done. Why taunt people with the HOPE of having something decent to play.

Just look at Cyanogen Mod 6 for EVO. They released an unstable, experimental built that works GREAT for some people and not so much for others... and they did so because we ASKED for it. The actual release could be weeks away... but there are people enjoying their EVOs more than they have since they first bought it because of this rom. The developers also probably got a nice chunk of change in donations for doing so. Learn from example. Listen to your consumers.

seriously its not a big deal, but if its a problem tell the devs not us we can't do anything about it. And please don't hate on people posting what they feel I did that to you and you didn't like it so don't tell people they can't defend the devs. I feel the same way when it comes to your argument kid. but i don't think that insulting the devs are going to help your cause. Like you said before you have better things todo than start a **** on a thread and i agree with you on that. good luck and i hope no hard feelings

I have watched this post from afar for the past 2 months roughly. I have seen the "tingling anticipation" and the "irrate realization" come and go in that time regarding the promises and setbacks for this project. While consumers have the right to vent thier frustrations, we must remember that without the dedication and the knowledge that the devs are bringing to the table, we would not have any sort of programs to purchase for the Droid System. I'm sure that these 2 devs have jobs, lives, families, issues etc that come before the current project that they are working on. I for one will be happy when the program comes out. Until then, I will find other means of kicking back with the old school classics. There are so many avenues for us to enjoy classic gaming and to downtalk those who are providing us with tools for our enjoyment is not fair not only to the devs, but really unfair to ourselves. No disrespect was intended to anyone in this thread. Not trying to "flame" or start a riot. Just adding my 25 cents to the cause. Good luck to the devs and thank you for the progress you have made thusfar.

It's ironic to call someone a "kid" when you are the one who uses the phrase "hate on". No one is insulting the devs. we are simply calling a legitimate concerns we have as consumers. It's no different than you getting upset with McDonalds for saying "chicken nuggets coming soon" and they never receive them even when they tell you to expect them one every week or so. Being passive aggressive and giving completely FALSE information time and time again has proven that you don't know what you are talking about and it doesn't matter how badly your feelings get hurt. Defend their practices all you want but don't expect paying customers of theirs to sit back and agree with you just because you think you are right. Be prepared to defend your position with a logical argument or stay out of the conversation.

i think a better comparison would be verizon saying next week for 2 months about the android 2.1 update

and i think its pretty rude that he doesnt keep us updated because afterall we did help make him a millionaire by buying his 4 dollar apps over 400,000 times..man i wish i started programming earlier..i alw

If the emulator was actually free, then he cud take all the time of the world but it isnt

We are paying customers of his
we made him rich
you cant make false promises to paying customers, at the least what he could do is releasing BETA version of it
its like the case with froyo for the milestone
motorola promised milestone to be flashready and all and now they dont even know if they shud update it to froyo and every1 is mad bcoz motorola is making a false promise!

Im not giving the dev the fault, all i say is that he shud think b4 throwing out promises
every setbacks is a hit to us, bcoz we were so excited that it will come out this week
and no app can be made stable without releasing beta, which he shud do now
a beta is a test version so we can find bugs and all so he can latrr fix it
so for all u ppl who is saying to w8 for a stable version, its not gonna be stable!

you cant make false promises to paying customers, at the least what he could do is releasing BETA version of it

1st. Hes not gonna beta paid app
2nd. You have no right to the psx emulator atm even if u you did buy some of his past emulates untill you pay you have no right to complain.
3rd. Its a 2 person team with LIVES!!!! im sure they have better things to do that make something as complex as a ps1 emu for ungrateful people even if they are gona become even richer off of it.
4th. It will be done just give it time and it might have bugs at first but hes working hard to take care of whatever he finds which is why it isnt out, he was fixing a crashing bug on multiple devices.

People really need to chill. I want this emulator as bad as anyone but I'm not going to sit here and complain about it when I could never make an emulator myself. Appreciate what the devs are doing for us in making sure that the release is nice and stable. When its ready, it's ready, nothing more to it. So just be patient and sit tight.

You have not paid him for this app yet, so no, he does not owe you anything. Apps that he has made in the past have nothing to do with this one. Do you live in the real world?

atleast update us with more pics!!!
ive kept my hopes up far to long
it wont be released this month or the next few months
