Quality

I don't have a sound issue ether, Its better then my blackberry storm an curve that I had.

There is nothing to "figure out." Many others have the problem as well. Sound issue has been acknowledged, that is all I am "allowed" to say.

What are you talking about? I don't recall anyone saying there was something to "figure out".....and all I know is that my Droid has never had an issue with the "sound quality"....never

X2 mine is perfect no complains from either side of the call

Motorola phone are usually of the highest quality when it comes to cell phones. The ones I have had are my best phones. If anyone remembers the E815. It is considered by many as the best cell phone ever created. Granted I have been away from moto since then but that phone was simply great. So is the droid

How do you all feel about the quality of the Droid so far and what are some of the most common issues with them?
Skim the topics. Just keep in mind that you'll get a skewed perspective of the issues but you'll quickly see which ones are the most common. If build quality is a major concern you'll see some threads on it.

This site is a tool -- definitely put it to use.

No quality issues with my phone. I had a Moto Q before, or should I say I had about 6 Moto Qs. Their quality was terrible. I was very hesitant to get a Droid as a result but I'm glad I did. There was the brief battery door issue, but if you're getting a new one now you won't have to deal with that.

Ah, the nostalgia of the StarTac and its LED screen. Not to be confused with the LED screens on new TVs... I'm talking about alarm-clock style LED screen.

The quality of a Motorola phone was heavily debated in that other world famous blackberry forum and often used as an excuse to dismiss the Droid to their "superior" blackberry (storm 1 and 2).:rofl3:

It was my experience in the past that Motorola made good phones with great quality so I didn't quite buy into that bit of propaganda.

I have had several Moto phones over the years, including 2 Razrs. I have never had an issue with the build quality of any of their phones. I'm sure how things are taking care of has a lot to do with reliability, though.
