Question About The Droid Turbo Battery Life.

I think once we see lollipop, our battery life will improve greatly.. Also a few other tweaks with the update... But it isn't exactly a slouch when it comes to current battery life..

Hopefully it doesn't take them too long to squish the battery bug caused by wifi issues in Lollipop.

Let's just hope they don't continue to follow the same path they have over the years by releasing builds before they are truly ready. These recent delays are not a good sign. That said, while we all know Lollipop has been slimmed down significantly and configured to work with fewer overall resources across many more devices, I wouldn't bank on it making a huge difference in battery life. Not to be a pessimist but they (Google) have been making these promises for years. They said the exact same thing before releasing JellyBean & KitKat, (and even ICS if I remember correctly) overall most folks didn't notice a huge difference in their battery life.
I'm just saying, if you're going in expecting a significant increase in battery life after this update, you may end up disappointed. I hope I'm wrong though! I'm looking forward to seeing some real world results roll out soon.

They updated the article saying it's fixed. I am impressed with the reports of early builds increasing battery life by close to a third. That would be amazing on the Turbo.

Good input guys. That's all I care for, is to not have to worry about plugging in until I'm good and ready, and it sounds like the turbo definitely delivers.

But if you do, you would likely be able to get away with even a standard charger plugged in for maybe 15-30 minutes and get another 4-5 hours. Turbo charging for 15 minutes gives you about 8, but I'd limit that to only when it absolutely necessary and I can't get more than 15 minutes at an outlet... For me, that's almost never.

I think its the Big circle time etc on the home screen. I dunno what the heck happened, if the phone behaves like this tomorrow - I know where its going Monday. My patience with mis-behaving devices is even shorter than other peoples kids (mine knew better).

12 hours ON - 2 hours screen time and I'm at 8% battery and not very happy.

I just did a Factory Reset which I really enjoy doing. We shall see. Really perplexed.
