Question concerning files on SD card

I intend to use my SD cards only for music files, but when I open Astro file manager, I see a number of directories like .footprints, .Mail, Android, etc., along with my MP3 folder and files. If I swap out 1 SD card for another, will the phone or apps work properly, or would I need to re-install apps?

I believe it will work properly. Go App Menu>Settings>Application>SD Card and see what applications are running there.

Thanks for the help. I see 4 apps on the SD card and used the Move to Phone Option. This doesn't cover all the directories I see on the SD card, but hopefully this addresses those that matter. Thanks again.
