Question on Tethering while on WiFi

Ok so I sometimes tether with my phone at work since our network here blocks certain websites (Facebook, etc). Someone at the office has a "MiFi" thing from either Sprint or Verizon. It is unsecured and my phone connects to it. If I am tethering and my phone is connected to the "MiFi" wireless network does it use that as the data and not my data plan? I am thinking yes but I wanted to just see if anyone else knows this answer.

Well if your connecting to a mifi which is a mobile hot spot that acts as a wirless router there's no need to tether just use your wifi to connect whixh in return does not use your data plan, it uses the data from the mifi and you are using that persons data plan :)
