Quick Text App?

Anyone know of an app that allows you to insert quick text in text input fields similar to the one available for Handcent SMS?

Comes in quite handy and I'd love it to have it availalble for IM's as well.

+1. I'm looking for a way to insert the date stamp, e.g. into memos, emails, whatever. Quick text shortcuts would be useful to me too, though inserting the current date is my main goal. Suggestions?
