As a long time former Palm Treo user, I miss the ability to quickly insert predefined text string in SMS and (using Shortcut5) for all text entry fields. Is there an App for that? I understand that some SMS replacement apps can have quick predefined text insertion but I would like to be able to do that in any text field.
The way Shortcut5 worked on the Palm Treo was that the user would type a period followed by 1 or 2 user defined characters which would then be replaced with the text string the user predefined.
Perhaps a keyboard replacement app would be the appropriate place for this functionality or maybe not.
