Random reboots even after full SBF

It just does. It's a newer kernel revision and blur build.

I've loaded it on two phones that had reboot issues, now neither one does.

Well. Can the current 2.3.340 sbf file be used to sbf if the problem isn't fixed and I actually do need to turn the phone in to VZW?

Normally, I'm all gung ho about trying new software, but at the moment I don't have the time to babysit this, especially since I have to go find a Windows computer to do all of it. I may just send the thing in for a replacement. I just wanted to be sure that rooting wasn't the cause. Does anyone know for sure?

You don't need a computer for any of it. And no, rooting is not the cause.

But that's fine, good luck.

To root it I would. And thank you. Just to be crystal clear, flashing a ROM to the phone wouldn't cause this either?

No. Like I said, all builds based on .340 suffer from it to some degree.

Well, thanks to all in this thread for the help.

There's a way to do it from linux and mac also, don't remember where I saw it and haven't used either but you don't HAVE to be on winblows to sbf. Think it was on here somewhere, could be wrong though.

You're right, the tbh app has a flashable .340 sbf too. But the 3.4.2 build must be rooted using superoneclick, which needs a windows box. Z4 doesn't work. It also uses the D2 bootstrap instead of the DX bootstrap, just fyi.

I guess he doesn't want to load it unless he can root it immediately.
