RAZR dissatisfied me

Tablets don't have a way to pull the battery & they are getting all kinds of rooted fun & roms/flashes so it may not be an issue...

I've heard stories of iPhones having to be taken in for a battery pull, but surely a normal, competent company's products wouldn't behave like that.

My screen did get warm. Probably was due to downloading apps. Its not like its warm all the time you use it. Probably like playing a game or watching Netflix makes the Droid 1 and DX1 warm. Its not hot like some ppl said, or mine hasnt got hot yet. Will know more after a few days, weeks playing with this thing. So far I'm liking it. Alot.

When you think of all of the data that the phone is capable of downloading over LTE--soooo many bits streaming in and out so quickly--it isn't surprising that it would heat up. GPS has always been the champ of keeping the phone hot. Is LTE the new king? What else heats the phone? Having the screen on and using the dual core processor to it's full capability. Charge the phone while you're doing all of this and that puppy is gonna sizzle! dancedroid

I will use the crap outta this phone tomorrow. If it cant take it, it may become my wives phone and I will just go galaxy nexus

Everything that's packed so tightly into that thing, plus the kevlar back, the heat has nowhere to go but out the screen... :icon_eek:

+1 on that. A deal-breaker for me.

I can relate to that, but some people won't care:

- hold power & volume down for 10 seconds to reset
- use an external battery pack to charge your phone instead of an extended battery
- forget about the fact that the battery will start to die in a couple years
