Razr Maxx HD vs. Galaxy s3

@06M6TorridGTO. I got a GS3 from Best Buy and had 30 days to return it. Lucky for me because signal strength in my area was an issue. After a few dropped calls I decided to exchange it for the Maxx HD. So far, no regrets. I enjoy the heft and build of the Max HD better, the antennae hold a signal better, and the screen is high quality even if it isn't quite as bright as the S3. I turn my phone off when I go to bed at night, and with light to moderate use and the screen on auto-brightness I got over two and a half days out of the battery. So far I'm loving this phone and it doesn't feel or look like such a toy as the S3 did.

I ended up going to Best Buy last night and I got the Razr Maxx HD!! It's amazing so far but I haven't even really used it yet. I mentioned it in a different thread (http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...ded-kept-my-unlimited-plan-7.html#post2326249) that I got to keep my unlimited data with it. I also mentioned that I got the phone for Amazon's price because Best Buy now matches online competitor pricing. I had forgotten about that earlier until I was standing in front of it and it dawned on me. I went to Radioshack first and they did not have that phone in the store so I just went over there to look at it and see if they had a working model, which they didnt. I explained in that post about the 64 GB card too. The lady had told me they didn't have one in store but when I looked, they actually did. There web site said they didn't even have it in store. I'm gonna order one on Amazon anyway to avoid having to get it price matched, which I dont even think they would come down from $100 to $60. I can wait. I already have the phone so if it works, great, if not, oh well. I think I'm going to love this phone though. It's beautiful. I just love the bold look of it. I can manage storage space if I need to. Call quality is definitely important too. I will delve into it later tonight and report back on it then and probably a later post with updates on how I like it over time.

Is it worth upgrading to Maxx HD from RAZR? The S3 has me intrigued and I might go that direction.

You may want to check out the thread in the S3 forum about cracked screens. It would seem quite a few people have screens cracking from normal every day use and pressure on the home, volume, and power buttons. Just something to think about.

Hadn't really considered that but I'll take a look. Thanks! Didn't know if it seemed redundant to get another phone that is so similar. I do love the idea of a long lasting battery and nicer screen :-)

This thread is interesting. It seems that more people come here to say they like the S3 better than Razr HD owners to say they like theirs better. I just know I couldn't stand touchwiz and that obnoxious physical home button. Than pretty much made the S3 a non-starter for me.
